The Hotel Montana in Cortina d'Ampezzo is a piece of history of the "Regina delle Dolomiti", "Dolomites Queen", with its roots dating back to 1498. Funded in the first years of the twentieth century and expanded in 1937, it has been the Dependence of the adjacent Cortina's Inn, the current Hotel Cortina. The ancient photos testify the architectonic similarities of the two buildings, given by the elegance of the lines and the calibrated neatness of the details. Claudio Apollonio turned Cortina's Hotel Dependance into the Hotel Montana in the 50’s and administrated it with his wife, Anna Mariani. In 1997, they gave Montana's Hotel management to Lorenzi's Family. In 2024, the Apollonio Family took the Hotel management back. Nowadays, Montana's and Cortina's Hotels are proprieties of the Apollonio Family, who in 2023, celebrated 135 years of work in the hospitality fields.
