Where is Hotel Montana located in Cortina d’Ampezzo?

Hotel Montana is located at 94 Corso Italia, right in the pedestrian heart of Cortina d’Ampezzo. Everything can be reached on foot within minutes.
Nearby you’ll find: the Faloria cable car (about a 7-minute walk), the Parish Church of SS. Filippo and Giacomo, the Rimoldi Museum, the Cooperativa di Cortina, and many shops and boutiques along Corso Italia.
We are just 1 minute from Piazzale Roma, the main hub for ski buses and intercity coaches; the Ice Stadium is a 10–15 minute walk away.
Also nearby is the Alexander Girardi Hall (cinema, theatre, exhibitions, conferences, concerts).
Along Corso Italia you’ll find luxury boutiques such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, Gucci, Moncler and Swatch, alongside iconic local names like Franz Kraler and Marinotti 160.

What time is check-in at Hotel Montana?

Check-in: from 15:00 to 22:30. If you arrive earlier, you may leave your luggage at reception.
If you expect to arrive after 22:30, it is essential to inform the hotel in advance.

What time is check-out?

Check-out: by 10:30. A late check-out may be available on request, subject to availability and an additional charge.
If you plan to leave before 07:30, please settle your bill the evening before departure.

Can I return to the hotel late at night?

Yes. The hotel doors close at 23:00. Guests returning later should provide their name and room number to the night porter for identification.

How can I reach the hotel by car?

Follow the signs for Cortina Centre and enter “Via Martiri di Tarcento” in your navigator to easily access the pedestrian area. You may briefly stop in front of the hotel to load or unload luggage.

How can I reach the hotel by public transport?

Cortina is served by Dolomiti Bus and Cortina Express. The main stop is at Piazzale Roma, just a 1-minute walk from the hotel, where ski buses also depart. Another stop is at the Ice Stadium, about a 10–15 minute walk away.

ROOMS AND CLEANING

How does room cleaning work?

Rooms are cleaned daily between 08:00 and 14:00.
Bathroom linen is changed on request, to help protect the environment.
Bed linen is changed every 3 days.
If the room is occupied or too untidy to allow cleaning, it will be serviced the following day.
Extra linen changes: €8.00.

Can I cook or use electrical appliances in my room?

For safety and hygiene reasons, it is not permitted to cook or use personal electrical appliances (cookers, hot plates, food warmers, irons, etc.).
Kettles and adaptors are available on request at reception.
Breakfast in the room is available on request, with an extra charge, between 08:30 and 09:30.

Is smoking allowed in the rooms?

No. Smoking is prohibited in all rooms and indoor areas.
It is only permitted outdoors or in designated smoking areas.
In case of violation, a minimum fine of €150.00 will be applied to cover cleaning and sanitisation costs.

Are there quiet hours?

Yes: 14:30–17:00 and 23:00–08:00. Please avoid noise, loud music, or raised voices during these times.

BREAKFAST

What time is breakfast served?

Every day from 07:00 to 10:00 in the breakfast room on the first floor overlooking Corso Italia.
If you leave before 07:00, you may request a complimentary breakfast box from reception (no extra charge).

What does the buffet include?

A rich sweet and savoury selection of fresh products: freshly baked croissants, yoghurt, cereals, fresh and dried fruit, cold cuts and cheeses, freshly baked bread every day, fruit juices and, in winter, fresh orange juice.
Gluten-free and lactose-free options are available on request.
For hygiene reasons, food and drinks cannot be taken to the rooms.

PARKING AND TRANSPORT

Do you have a car park?

We have 5 private parking spaces available for a fee, upon reservation and subject to availability (one space per room).
Parking is unattended; the Management is not responsible for theft or damage.
Alternatively, there are public and paid car parks just a few minutes away – please ask at reception for directions.

PETS

Are pets allowed?

Yes, we welcome small and medium-sized dogs (up to 25 kg), upon request and with a small daily supplement.
Dogs may access the breakfast room on a leash and must never be left alone in the room.
They are not allowed on beds or chairs, and hotel linen must not be used for them.
A pet-sitting service can be arranged on request.

BOOKINGS AND PAYMENTS

What is the best way to book?

Booking directly is always the best choice, as it guarantees the most advantageous rate with no commission (official website, email or phone).

Is a deposit required?

Yes. A confirmation deposit of 30% to 50% of the total amount is required, depending on the season.
Payment can be made by bank transfer or secure payment link.

What is your cancellation policy?

It depends on the period and rate chosen. In general, cancellation is free within the terms indicated in the offer; beyond these terms, the deposit is non-refundable.
We recommend taking out travel insurance within 48 hours of booking.

What payment methods do you accept?

Cash, credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro) and electronic payments are accepted.
Cheques and bank transfers are not accepted at check-out.
If you require an invoice, please inform us before payment and provide billing details.

GUESTS, VISITS AND RULES

Can I receive visitors in my room?

Only with prior authorisation from Management. External guests must leave an ID at reception and cannot freely access guest floors.

Are there any behavioural rules?

We ask all guests to maintain respectful behaviour towards others and staff.
Smoking indoors, entering staff-only areas or allowing non-registered visitors access is strictly prohibited.
The Management reserves the right to remove guests who do not comply with the regulations or disturb other guests.

What happens if I lose my keys?

Loss of keys or keyrings: €35.00. Please leave them at reception when leaving the hotel.

What are the rules for children?

Minors are under the responsibility of their parents or guardians.
Children under 12 years old are not allowed to use the lift unaccompanied.
Please ensure they respect quiet hours.

CORTINA AND SURROUNDINGS

What can I visit near the hotel?

Within a few minutes’ walk you can reach the **Campanile of Cortina**, the **Basilica of SS. Filippo and Giacomo**, the **Cooperativa di Cortina**, the **Rimoldi Museum**, the **Ice Stadium**, and the **Faloria** and **Tofane ski lifts**.
Very close to the hotel (less than a minute’s walk) is the famous **Conchiglia in Piazza Angelo Dibona**, an open-air stage where public events, concerts, shows, tastings and workshops take place throughout the year – such as the **World Dog Day** and other cultural activities.
A short walk away, the **Alexander Girardi Hall** hosts cinema screenings, theatre shows, exhibitions, conferences and concerts all year round.
In summer, many hiking trails start nearby; in winter, ski buses quickly connect the centre to the main ski slopes of the Dolomites.

Is the hotel noisy?

Hotel Montana is located right in the heart of Cortina, on Corso Italia, just a few steps from the Campanile, the town’s most iconic landmark.
Due to its very central position, you may occasionally hear the chimes of the bell tower or sounds from public events and activities in the pedestrian area.
These are part of the genuine atmosphere and daily life of Cortina d’Ampezzo.
The Management is not responsible for external noise, but always reports any unusual disturbances to the local authorities.
